Here are a few facts about Bob Barraza but, not too many...

 

1971 to1984- Formative years, lots of bands and musical experimentation. Formed a group called Tryad and then I met a hot chick who had been to
Europe and was seriously thinking of going back.

 

1985-I married the hot chick. Best thing I ever did. Tryad disbanded and I immediately went into C&W music
           with The Gold River Band. Good bunch of guys. Real solid.

 

1986- Gold River Band disbanded, bunch of idiots. Real  flakey 

            Whole Foods gig  by day,  improv comedy and theater  by night.  

            I got TV commercial spots, industrial films, theatrical sound design gigs and some indie movies where I play the cop or the thug. Honestly, I play a good thug.

 

1992- I  started KIDPROV, an educational improvisation comedy troupe for kids, with  some folks who are still my best friends and all the while my music is there at the center of it.

 

Lots of things inspire me,  I have two beautiful daughters who also have artistic tendencies and performing arts in their blood. They and their hot mom [see 1985] are my greatest sources of inspiration.
